Slime is a funny toy in the form of a sticky lump that crumples well in the hands, which sticks to hard surfaces. To create it at home, you will need a variety of ingredients, not all of which are equally safe for your health. However, you can make a sodium tetraborate-free homemade slime that is safe for your baby.
It is necessary
- - liquid starch;
- - PVA glue;
- - food coloring, brilliant green or gouache;
- - plastic bag.
Instructions
Step 1
You can make homemade slime without sodium tetraborate using liquid starch. This ingredient is often used in the household, so even if it is not available at home, you can purchase it from a hardware store. Take 100-200 grams of the product and place in a small plastic bag. Adjust the amount of starch based on the desired size of the toy.
Step 2
Add dye, brilliant green or gouache to make your homemade slime the color you want. Then add some PVA glue. Clamp the bag so that it does not open. Shake it and knead it in your hands until the mixture reaches the required consistency.
Step 3
Tilt the bag slightly over the sink to drain off excess liquid. Remove the clump from the bag, squeeze it again by hand and place in a colander over the sink for 5-10 minutes. As soon as the slime you created dries up and gets rid of excess moisture, it can be handed over to your child to play with.
Step 4
Follow age guidelines. You should not give slime to a child under 3-4 years old, as he may accidentally put a toy in his mouth. Older children should also be told that the slime is intended exclusively for play, and after using it, you need to wash your hands with soap and water.
