The authors of the gospel narrative did not leave any instructions about the appearance of the star, which showed the shepherds the way to the Infant Christ on the night of Christmas, therefore there are several different traditions in its depiction. The eight-pointed, six-pointed star of David of Bethlehem, the "tailed" comet-star - all these variants have every right to exist. An interesting option is the "Moravian Star". The tradition of such an image of the Christmas star originated among Christians in Germany and the Czech Republic. It is not difficult to draw it with a ruler.
It is necessary
- - drawing paper (you can use graph paper or paper in a cage);
- - pencil;
- - ruler;
- - paints;
- - brushes.
Instructions
Step 1
Draw in the center of the sheet a square with a side equal to 1 cm. To make it easier for you to navigate in the construction of the drawing of the "Moravian Star", use graph paper or a piece of paper in a cage.
Step 2
On each side of the square, draw an isosceles triangle. Thus, the sides of the square will be the bases of the four triangles. The sides of each triangle are 3 cm long. You should have a star shape with four rays.
Step 3
Draw a diamond with the same center as the square. In other words, "rotate" the square around the center by 45 degrees. Using the sides of the rhombus as bases, also draw four triangular rays, but with a side of 2 cm. You have a star with eight ends - four longer and four shorter.
Step 4
Now draw two small teeth between each pair of adjacent rays of the star. To do this, you need to extend each side of the square and the rhombus in both directions by 12 mm and then draw lines from the ends of the drawn segments to the center of the star.
Step 5
Gently erase the outline of the square and diamond in the center of the drawing with the eraser. Before you is a drawing of the "Moravian Star" that looks like a frame.
Step 6
To draw a larger star, proportionally increase the dimensions given in this instruction. The large Moravian star can be interestingly colored.
Step 7
Since “Moravian stars” made of glass or crystal are a very popular Christmas (and not only) interior decoration, you can give your star an ice texture: paint the rays with white gouache and directly on the surface of the drawing that has not dried out from the paint, blue or turquoise (bluish-green) paint around the contours of the rays. Feather the borders of the two colors a little, but at the same time the contours of each ray of the star should remain fairly clear.
Step 8
The "Moravian star" decorated with ornaments will look very unusual and stylish. Paint each ray of the Christmas star with colored stripes, peas, simple stylized flowers, or some other pattern.
