Christmas has always been a family holiday, and for relatives and friends I want to create a special atmosphere of comfort and warmth. You can yourself, or even better with the whole family, decorate the Christmas tree for the holiday by making toys with your own hands. One of the main decorations is the Christmas star. It is easy to make it from scrap materials.
It is necessary
- - cardboard tubes - 2 pcs;
- - PVA glue;
- - album sheets;
- - colored paper or paints;
- - scissors;
- - brush for painting;
- - beads;
- - several small snowflakes cut out of paper;
- - a picture on the theme of Christmas.
Instructions
Step 1
The basis of the toy is made of cardboard "petals" made of tubes. You can make the tubes yourself or take ready-made paper towels, for example. If you make them yourself, keep in mind that the size of the product will depend on the diameter of the tubes. Roll the cardboard into a tube and glue. Wait for the glue to dry.
Step 2
After that, paste over the tubes with colored paper or, if desired, paint them in any color other than black. Wait for the paint or glue to dry. Cut the tubes into six rings, the sides of which should be about fifteen millimeters wide.
Step 3
Apply glue to the edges of the rings. They need to be flattened a little to get "petals". Press the smeared side down onto a piece of white paper and wait for the glue to dry. Then cut off the excess paper with scissors. Do the same for the other side of the petal.
Step 4
After the blanks of the rays of the star are made, shade their edges with a sponge or brush using paints. They shouldn't be too bright.
Step 5
When the paint is dry, grease one end of each "petal" with glue and gently connect them to each other in the shape of a six-pointed star-flower.
Step 6
Then you can start decorating the star. You can glue beads and rhinestones to it in a chaotic manner, or you can lay it out in the form of some intricate ornament. Attach a pendant to the top of the star, on which it will hang from a branch of the Christmas tree.
Step 7
Carefully cut a picture out of a Christmas-themed card and glue it in the middle of the toy on the front side. Decorate the Christmas star with pre-cut paper snowflakes. Glue a bead in the center of each snowflake. Glue a beautiful paper flower on the back in the center of the star. Decorate its core in the same way as the center of the snowflakes. Decorate the pendant with an organza or silk ribbon bow.
