Big Ben is the most famous landmark in London. In general, Big Ben is a thirteen-ton bell installed inside the clock tower of Westminster Palace, but this name is often used to refer to the clock tower as a whole. Despite the fact that the clock contains a large number of elements, it is not difficult to draw them with step-by-step instructions!

It is necessary

  • - pencil;
  • - paper;
  • - ruler (optional).

Instructions

Step 1

First, draw a parallelogram, which will later become the basis for the clock face and, accordingly, will denote the front of the tower.

Step 2

Draw another parallelogram so that it looks like a greeting card.

Step 3

Draw straight lines from the bottom corners of the resulting shape. The base for the tower is ready.

Step 4

Draw a small rectangle at the top of the tower. Its width and length should be less than that of the previous figure.

Step 5

To shape the roof, draw a trapezoidal shape with concave sides on the face of the rectangle.

Step 6

Using the same shape, paint the roof on the other side. And draw a thin line across the bottom of the entire roof. This is necessary in order to create volume.

Step 7

Now draw a small cube adjacent to the roof.

Step 8

Draw a triangle above the cube, the short side of which should be straight and the long side slightly concave inward. Note that the shape should be hovering over the cube, not adjacent to it.

Step 9

Draw a concave triangle on the right and draw connecting lines to the cube.

Step 10

Mark the border of the dial with two squares on the front and on the side.

Step 11

Draw two pairs of vertical lines, one on each side of the tower.

Step 12

Then draw four horizontal bars on the front of the tower and two on the side.

Step 13

Now start adding details. The vertical planks along the edges of the tower are covered with indentations, mark them with zigzag stripes. And draw them at the level of the horizontal strips described in item 12.

Step 14

Draw seven filled ovals each above and below the dial. Try to make the top ovals slightly larger than the bottom ones.

Step 15

Draw 7 bold stripes in each square section of the tower. Try to make the edges rounded.

Step 16

Draw 5 short stripes on the cube adjacent to the roof.

Step 17

Following points 15 and 16, draw thin lines along the side of the tower.

Step 18

Draw three circles in a square base below the dial.

Step 19

On the clock, make divisions for numbers and arrows.

Step 20

One last thing: on the triangular sections, mark the small "windows". It is also necessary to draw the spiers rising from each corner of the tower. Mark the indentations on the surface of the tower and be sure to sketch out the small details surrounding the dial.
