Mastering the whistle technique is not difficult at all. The main thing in such a matter is training. To do this, you will need to make some effort and try to learn how to whistle on your own without using available means. Rather, you only need your fingers. During the training period, take care of hand hygiene, because you will have to touch your mouth with your fingers.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, you need to tuck the lower and upper lips inside the mouth so that they completely cover the teeth. Only the very edges of the lips can protrude slightly outward.
Step 2
Pick up a fan. The purpose of the fingers should be one - to hold the lips over the teeth. However, there are several different combinations of fingers, and therefore you can choose whichever you like best.
Step 3
There may be the following options for using your fingers to whistle with two fingers:
- right and left index fingers are used;
- U-shape, which is created by the thumb and middle or thumb and forefinger of both the right and left hand;
- right and left middle fingers.
Step 4
The best option depends not only on the size of the fingers, but also on the mouth. Regardless of the choice, the location of the fingers is the same: almost halfway from the corner of the mouth to its central region and pushed inward to the first joint.
Step 5
When you put your fingers in your mouth, check the following: your nails should be directed only inward, towards the center of the tongue, and your fingers should be pressed very tightly against your lip.
Step 6
Now pull your tongue back so that the tip of your tongue is almost touching the bottom. In this case, the distance to the lower front teeth should be approximately equal to 1 cm. This way your tongue tip will become slightly wider, covering a larger surface.
Step 7
The whistle will appear only when the air flow hits directly on the bevel. In this case, the air flow must be generated by the upper teeth and tongue.
Step 8
Inhale large enough and exhale sharply through your mouth. Experiment with the placement of your tongue and fingers.
Step 9
If the whistle does not work, then start by blowing lightly. You should get a quiet low-pitched whistle, and there will be enough air for quite a long time.
Step 10
While you are blowing, try to find the desired point with your tongue (the place where the whistle is most loud) - this is when air begins to hit the sharpest area of the bevel. The result should be a high-pitched and clear sound, not a low whistle.
