More and more often, ordinary plastic bottles in the skillful hands of craftsmen and lovers of arts and crafts are turning from containers into real works of art. With a skillful approach, bottles are transformed into household items, a variety of improvised tools, as well as garden decorations, sculptures and trees.
One of the simplest uses for plastic bottles is to create an unusual tree that can be placed on a garden plot as a decoration. There are several ways to make trees.
Plastic palm
Quite often, palm trees are made from plastic bottles. It will not be difficult to make them. For work you will need scissors, a strong iron bar, bottles of brown and green colors. Depending on how you plan to make the tree, the rod can be of any length, short or not very long. After the base of the trunk is prepared, it is necessary to tackle the blanks for the trunk.
To do this, cut off the bottom of the plastic bottles - the bottom. Cut the cut with a "zigzag", cutting out small "teeth" on it (then they need to be bent). You can also decorate the top of the bottle that you use in your work differently. To do this, you can cut it into narrow ribbons, the so-called "noodles", or make wider "petals". If necessary, shape them by rounding them with scissors. The number of dark bottles required for the job depends on the desired height of the tree.
Then prepare green bottles for the crown of your palm tree. To do this, also first cut off the bottom of the bottle, cut it lengthwise into four or five pieces (or more), and then form large leaves out of them. For a crown, 4-6 bottles are enough.
Now start assembling the tree. Place a plug on the rod from below, not forgetting to first make a hole in it, so that it is more convenient to place it on the base of the post. After that, with the neck down, put the bottles on the rod until you fill the entire rod. The top should remain 30-40 cm. Fill this free space with green blanks. Secure the crown with one more cork, which must be put on last.
Garnish with bananas made from small yogurt or mustard bottles. In the latter case, you don't even have to paint them.
Original tree
The wood made from transparent bottles is also interesting. For the base, you need a branch from a real tree. You can choose the right one when pruning fruit trees and shrubs in spring. Then take the bottles, cut off the top and bottom of them. Divide the resulting plastic cylinder into two wide strips.
Holes in bottle products are best done with a hole punch or hot awl or nail.
Form branches out of them, cutting out neat leaves along the edges, without touching the middle of the base. The central part of the branch should be wide enough to pierce holes for attaching the branches to the wooden "skeleton". The frame of the tree can be strengthened with additional iron rods, giving the craft an interesting shape, to which you will also need to attach plastic twigs. Dress the tree with foliage for a finished look.
For the manufacture of wood, you can use containers of any size of flowers. In this case, everything depends only on the idea of the master.
