Making a pigeon from plastic bottles is a lengthy process that will require care and patience. Initially, the frame is made, and only then other parts must be attached to it.
What is required for creativity?
To make an original figurine of a white dove, you will definitely need a plastic bottle (you can take it from under the detergent). You should also take a plastic pipe, two transparent bottles and 24 milk bottles. The creative process will not do without wire, styrofoam, self-tapping screws, transparent glue and glue gun, and twine. After you have found the above components, feel free to start making a pigeon.
Dove from plastic bottles: stages of creation
First you need to bend the shape of the legs from the metal-plastic pipe. In this case, the middle part of the pipe should be inside the bottle, and the legs should be bent forward. Cut the holes and insert your feet into the holes of the detergent bottle. They must be secured with self-tapping screws. Then from the top of the 1.5 liter bottle, cut half, cut it, fold it in a cone and fasten it with a wire. The middle part of the bottle is needed to create the bird's thighs. Cut it in two and fold them into envelopes. Now you need to attach the resulting "thighs" and neck to the bottle. This should create a pigeon frame.
You can proceed to making feathers. Cut the milk bottles into five pieces. Carefully cut out small feathers from them. Try to keep them roughly the same. The six upper parts of the feathers should be very finely planed. Glue them on the inside and then outside on the glue gun. Start covering the bird's thighs with these feathers. Using self-tapping screws, gradually cover the entire back of the frame.
At the next stage of work, you need to close the side parts of the frame from below. Do not forget to use self-tapping screws in the process of fixing the feathers. Remove the neck and cover it with plastic nibs with wire. Then attach it back to the "body" of the pigeon.
Cut the top of the bottle in half and finely chop the larger portion. Glue the plumage in a circle with a glue gun, not reaching the top by 2 cm. Now it's time to make the feet. To do this, insert the wire between the envelope and the plastic pipe. Gradually bend the wire around the pipe and form fingers. Do not forget to coat them with glue and wrap with twine. Glue the finished feet to your legs. Glue small feathers to the pipe from the outside and inside.
Then prepare a shape for attaching the tail from a piece of mesh. Cut more feathers from the tops of the bottles and wire them to the net. Fix the tail to the main body with self-tapping screws. In order to make the wings, first draw a diagram and transfer it to a 1.5 liter bottle. From the top of the milk bottle, cut large flight feathers for the wings. Lay out the wing pattern and secure the feathers with wire. Fasten the finished wings to the frame with self-tapping screws.
To cut the bird's head, you need foam. Cut the head out of it and cover it with acrylic putty. Use self-tapping screws to secure the head to the body and start covering it with feathers. Remember to glue the eyes and make the eyelids using twine and a glue gun. That's all. It remains only to cover the beak with acrylic paint to make it shine.
