When making soft toys, the question always arises - how to make a face or a muzzle? With the eyes and the mouth, everything is more or less clear - there are buttons for the eyes, and the mouth can be embroidered or made with applique. If necessary, you can also embroider the nose. True, you will have to use some tricks so that it turns out to be voluminous and at the same time not rough.
It is necessary
- - toy;
- - a piece of felt;
- - strong threads to match the complexion;
- - strong black threads;
- - a needle;
- - knife;
- - scissors;
- - glue.
Instructions
Step 1
Draw several versions of the bear's nose on a regular piece of paper. Cut them out and try on which one works best for your teddy bear. The nose is made with a lining. Choose the best option and translate its outline into a piece of felt or drape. It is more convenient to cut with a blade or a sharp knife, but you can also use scissors.
Step 2
Glue the oval onto the muzzle. Find the middle of its bottom line and outline. Anchor the thread closer to this point, leaving a small "tail". Make the first stitch strictly vertical, connecting the midpoints of the bottom and top lines of the oval.
Step 3
Sew a half of the nose with a light satin stitch overlapping stitches from the centerline to the left. The stitches should be tight. Grip the edge of the lining at the top and bottom. When you finish sewing to the end, apply the second layer of ironing in the same way, trying to fall between the existing stitches. Go to the middle line, then in the same way, in 2 layers, embroider the second half of the nose. Tie the ends of the thread together and hide under the stitches. You can embroider the nose of any other animal in the same way.
Step 4
In order to make the doll's nose, outline its contours on the face. You can make a nose with a lining for a large doll, only in this case you need to cut out not an oval, but an isosceles triangle with a cut off the upper corner. Stick it to your face. In the same way as when sewing the nose of a bear, mark the center line with a stitch. Place the first layer of stitches on the left half. Start the second layer 2–3 stitches from the edge. Sew it all the way down to the middle, then move to the other half and do the first two layers in the same way. Apply a few more layers, depending on the height of the nose. Begin the row that runs from edge to center by backing off a few stitches. Finish the embroidery at the center line. Tie the ends of the thread and place them under the stitches.
