After a large piece is knitted, a small ball of yarn usually remains. If the craftswoman loves to knit, these balls accumulate, because there is especially nowhere to put them. But the rest of the yarn does not have to lie idle. From them you can impose funny toys - for example, a hedgehog. You will need exactly as much yarn as there is - after all, the hedgehog does not have to be of the same color.

Instructions
Step 1
Start knitting the hedgehog from the abdomen. It is an oval. Cast on 10 stitches. Make 3 double crochets in the last loop of the chain and work 1 row with crochets. In the first loop of the chain, make 3 double crochets again and continue knitting in a circle. Gradually add loops, knitting every five columns into the columns of the previous row, 2 columns into one. In this way, knit rows 10-12. Break the thread and tighten the loop.
Step 2
The muzzle can be knitted from threads of the same color. Start knitting with a chain of 3 stitches. Close it in a circle. Tie 2 stitches and knit 5 single crochets into the ring. Turn the knitting over and knit 5 single crochets without closing it into a ring. Turn the work over again, make 2 loops on the rise. In the first column of the previous row, knit 2 single crochets, knit a row with the same columns, knitting them into each loop of the previous row. In the last loop, knit 2 stitches. In the same way, knit the next row, starting with the lifting loops, 2 columns in the first loop and ending with 2 columns in the last loop of the previous row.
Step 3
In the next row, start adding loops evenly, knitting 2 stitches into one every 5 stitches. Align the starting row of the muzzle with the end point of the elongated edge of the oval and measure the length of the muzzle. Knit it until it is about 1/3 the length of the oval. Tie the muzzle to the abdomen.
Step 4
Tie the back with needles. They can be knitted as a continuation of the muzzle, knitting 1 single crochet into each column of the last row of the muzzle. In this way, knit the first row, then add more loops along the next row, knitting 2 columns in one every 3 columns. Work 1 more row with single crochets so that the next row is on the front of the toy.
Step 5
Start knitting the fringe Next - purl - knit the row with single crochets, knit the fringe on the front again. Knit in this way until the length of this part of the body matches the length of the abdomen. Decrease the number of stitches by knitting a column after 3.
Step 6
Tie the back with needles to the belly, leaving a small hole for stuffing. Stuff the hedgehog with padding polyester and seal the hole.
Step 7
Make the paws. Tie a chain of 5 chain stitches, close it into a ring. Tie 2 stitches on the rise, then 7 columns in a ring. Knit the foot in a circle to the desired length. Fill it with padding polyester, tighten the loops and tie the foot to the body. Tie the other 3 legs in the same way.
Step 8
For the eyes and nose, you can knit small circles of black yarn. But you can also sew on beads or pieces of leather. Embroider the mouth.
