Do you know that the gifts most dear to the heart of a loved one are those that you have made specifically for this person? Why not make some trinket with your own hands, for example, a bead spider, and present this original gift: the surprise will be a success!

How to weave a beaded spider

It is necessary

  • - two beads for the peephole;
  • - 6 grams of beads for a calf;
  • - 16 bugles for legs;
  • - 8 beads for the end of the legs;
  • - thread for beading;
  • - 56 beads for legs;
  • - sequins for the eyes;
  • - needles;
  • - plastic bag;
  • - small beads.

Instructions

Step 1

Start work by weaving the first row of the spider's body. Weave a chain of beads using a brick stitch in a circle. It is fashionable to do this as follows: string two beads into the middle of the thread so that in the second you cross the threads. Then, in the same way, we attach the third and each subsequent one (there will be 19 beads in a row in total). Close the beaded chain into a ring, again crossing the threads.

Step 2

Pass one of the threads through the first bead of the second row. Weave the second row with a brick stitch in a circle. Like the first row, it should also consist of 19 beads. Beginning with the third row, reduce the row length successively. In total, you need to weave 6 rows for the upper part of the calf. Having finished the last row of the upper part of the calf, pull the thread and pass it through the transverse rows of beads: this will allow you to securely fasten the beads together.

Step 3

From the first row, start weaving the bottom of the spider's body. Weave 3 rows, then fill the spider's body with a plastic bag (this will give it elasticity) and complete the remaining rows. Fasten the beads together, gradually decreasing the length of the row: it turns out that the lower part is a mirror image of the upper part.

Step 4

Put a bead for the eye in the middle of the thread, pass the two ends of the thread through the sequin, and then fix the eye on the body of the spider. Make the spider's second eye in the same way.

Step 5

Make the paws. This should be done in the following sequence: put on a bead on a thread, then a bugle, then five beads and again a bugle, and then another bead and a bead. Then go back in the opposite direction: bugles, two beads, one bead is skipped, then again two beads and a bugle. Pull the thread tightly so that a fold forms in the place of the missed bead (this will be the joint of the foot), and attach the foot to the body. Make three more legs and attach them to the spider's body on the same side. By analogy, weave four more legs and secure them on the opposite side of the calf.
