Elegant caps for the birthday, masquerade hats for magicians and clowns, original design items and models for educational activities - all this can be made from a simple paper cone. This geometric shape will be based on a circle. Using one or another number of its sectors, you can make a craft of the required size.
It is necessary
- - sheet of whatman paper;
- - paper glue (tape, stapler);
- - pencil;
- - compasses (dish);
- - ruler;
- - scissors;
- - materials for the design of the cone (if necessary).
Instructions
Step 1
Take a piece of Whatman paper and draw on it the base of a straight cone - a circle. To do this, you can use a compass or a dish of the right size. Precisely mark the center of the resulting original shape.
Step 2
Carefully cut out the circle and divide it into 4 absolutely equal parts (sectors). Draw a line from any point of the base to the middle and cut along it.
Step 3
Connect the free edges of the workpiece by making an overlap in the size of one whole sector or half of it. If you want to increase the height of the craft, cut out a portion of the circle and make a connecting seam about a centimeter wide.
Step 4
Glue the cone - it will look like a wide Asian "rice hat". To get a headdress, it remains to paint the product and sew an elastic band or ribbons to its two edges.
Step 5
Cut the original circle into two sectors and glue the edges - this will create a cone-shaped figure of medium width. According to this sample, from a cut of beautiful wallpaper, you can roll up the original lampshade, cut out the top and strengthen the truncated cone on a suitable frame.
Step 6
From one sector of the base circle, make a small pointed cap. It is a popular element in festive decoration and fancy dress. Try to make rings of different diameters from strips of colored paper and put them on the cone.
Step 7
Sew on a fixing elastic tape, fasten a tassel of multi-colored threads or serpentine on top - and here is a funny Pinocchio hat.
Step 8
If you need to glue a closed cone, cut out the bottom from the Whatman paper to the size of the base of the figure. Provide a margin of 1.5-2 cm around the edge perimeter. Make cuts to the seam line, bend the flaps and glue the part to the main product.
Step 9
Sometimes for making paper crafts based on a cone, an even seam is not at all necessary. If the subsequent decoration completely covers the front of the workpiece, it is enough to roll up a paper bag of the required height and fix it with glue, narrow transparent tape or a stationery stapler.
Step 10
Trim the bottom of the cone bag with scissors until the shape is stable. In this way, you can make a desktop Christmas tree: wrap the product with tinsel or grease it with glue and paste over with cotton wool.
