He was approved for the main roles in such famous productions as "Uncle's Dream", "Balalaikin and K" and others. In 1965, Myagkov made his film debut, playing in the film The Adventures of a Dentist. This was followed by the films The Brothers Karamazov and At the Bottom. And in 1975 the director Eldar Ryazanov approved the actor for the main role in his future classic "The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!" The tandem of Andrey Myagkov and Barbara Brylski turned out to be so successful that the film is still the favorite of Russian audiences who grabbed it for songs and quotes.

Myagkov quickly gained the status of a famous actor and was invited to the Moscow Art Theater. Gorky (now the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater). In this theater, he still performs.
