Step 1
Prepare circular knitting needles, as these are best used to knit a hat. In this case, you can always try on the product in the process of work and correct, if necessary (decrease or add loops). Before starting knitting, you need to know the length of the head circumference. In accordance with the size, cast the required number of loops on the knitting needles.
Step 2
Next, knit with an elastic band: 1 front loop, 1 purl or 2 front, then 2 purl. In this way, you can make the entire header, or choose another method. Work with an elastic band about 10 cm, then decrease one loop on both sides and go to garter stitch: knit rows with knit loops, purl - purl. While knitting, make decreases 2-3 more times after about 4-5 rows.
Step 3
Finish the work at the height of the cap you need in this way: through all the loops, pull a thread about 35 cm long. Tighten it. From the inside, sew the sides of the cap with a crochet hook or needle using the free end of the thread.
Step 4
Depending on who the hat is intended for, it can be decorated with various elements. For example, sew along the edge of a sequin or use a rhinestone thermal appliqué. In addition, you can tie the ears, sew on the eyes, nose, mouth, to get the face of the animal.
You can also make a pompom. To do this, wind the threads around a small piece of cardboard. How fluffy the part will be depends on the width of the cardboard and the amount of yarn wound. Then remove the threads from the base, tie them in the middle. Do it carefully. Then cut the threads on both sides. Sew the pom-pom to the hat, fluff it up.
