It is necessary

  • - circular knitting needles;
  • - yarn of all colors of the rainbow.

Instructions

Step 1

To make a baby hat, you will need yarn of the same texture, but in different colors, which should make up all shades of the rainbow, that is, these are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, blue and purple colors.

Step 2

Cast on 60 stitches on the circular needles, knit the first row and fasten it in a circle. Knit the second row with purl loops. Then continue alternating the front and back rows for a total of eight. This will be the finishing of the hat.

Step 3

Continue to knit the main part of the cap only with front loops, changing only the color of the threads to get a rainbow front surface. To do this, knit 8 rows with each color. At the end of knitting with blue threads, start decreasing the loops. To do this, divide the canvas into 6 parts - you get six wedges of 10 loops each.

Step 4

Mark the beginning of each wedge with threads of a different color, so as not to lose the place of reducing the number of loops. In each segment, knit the first 2 and last 2 stitches together. Repeat this for each of the 6 parts of the beanie. Decrease the stitches after finishing with blue and purple threads.

Step 5

Now only 24 loops will remain on the needles. Continue working with the same color scheme but in reverse order. That is, after the violet, blue will go again, after you finish working with which, also make a similar decrease. Since knitting becomes inconvenient, you can switch to 5 knitting needles of the same size to knit a narrow cap.

Step 6

Run 8 rows with each color. When working with red (the last) color, reduce the loops at your discretion. Gather the remaining loops with a thread and tighten it. Make a red brush or pom-pom and tie to the tip of the cap.
