Knitted products of this kind (bedspreads, blankets), which can be used in a stroller during a baby's walks, will be very interesting to look at. Step 1
In order to knit a blanket for a child, you can use yarn of any texture. However, when choosing threads, it is better to take into account some of the nuances. You should not take mohair, because despite the fact that you get a very warm and beautiful product, long fibers can irritate the skin of the child's face.

There is a huge assortment of inexpensive synthetic yarn on sale, but it is important to remember that a blanket made of threads of this texture will accumulate static electricity, which can subsequently negatively affect the health of the child. If it is assumed that the product will be used infrequently, then it is quite possible to use bouclé yarn or Grass threads for knitting. Their volumetric structure will allow you to hide possible minor flaws that may appear, for example, in a needlewoman with little experience.
Step 3
The ideal option is cotton yarn (for the summer version), as well as woolen or semi-woolen threads. Of course, the overall cost of the product will increase, but it perfectly combines all the hygienic and functional qualities: air permeability, hygroscopicity, heat protection.
Step 4
Before starting work, be sure to tie a sample from the selected threads. To do this, cast on 20 stitches on the needles and knit 20 rows, then close the row. Wash the resulting piece (choose the right detergent), then straighten it on a flat surface, pin it with needles to a soft base and dry it. Then measure the length and width of the sample with a ruler and calculate the number of loops for the selected blanket size.
Step 5
For example, the sample turned out to be 10 cm wide, therefore, to knit a blanket measuring 100x100 cm, dial 200 loops on circular knitting needles No. 2, 5. Knit in a knitted "Putanka" according to the scheme: * 1 front loop, 1 purl *. Continue to knit the next row not according to the pattern, but with opposite loops. That is, now knit the front loop with the purl, and the purl with the front one. This will give small bumps, which will give the product some bulk. Thus, knit the number of rows that turned out when calculating in the sample, then close the loops of the last row.
Step 6
To frame the blanket (especially since the edges of the knitted product can curl), use a crochet hook. Tie it around the entire perimeter with a simple column 2-4 times. For additional decoration, make scallops or small loops (5 air loops, 1 simple column through 3 loops of the previous row). If desired, bows made of satin ribbons can be sewn around the perimeter of the baby blanket, matching in color with the main tone of the product.
