Do you want to make a device for viewing dynamic holographic images right at home? Want to surprise your friends with vibrant 3D motion pictures or holographic music videos? It's very simple and will take you literally 15 minutes!

Instructions
Step 1
First of all, let's draw a template on paper. It is convenient to use checkered paper, as it is already lined and will help you draw perpendicular lines. First, measure a segment 6 cm long. From its middle, draw up a segment with a length of 3.5 cm. From the end of the latter, draw 2 more segments, 5 mm each, perpendicular to both sides. Now connect the 4 extreme points together so that you get a truncated pyramid. The figure shows how it should look.
Step 2
Now cut out the paper pyramid with scissors. This will be the template.
Step 3
Take the prepared plastic, attach a template to it and circle the outline with a marker. Try to position the pyramid so that 3 more will fit. In total we need 4 plastic transparent pyramids. The plastic should be transparent and smooth.
If you have thin and flexible plastic, then you can connect all 4 pyramids into a single pattern, as in the picture below.
Step 4
After you have applied the markings, carefully cut all 4 pyramids out of the plastic. If you used plastic from under the CD case, use a utility knife to cut. If you have thinner and more pliable plastic, use scissors. Try to cut so that all the edges are straight and neat.
Step 5
Now you need to glue 4 pyramids so that you get a volumetric truncated pyramid with 4 faces. The glue must be applied carefully so that it does not flow onto smooth surfaces, but remains only on the edges of the pyramid. You can use small pieces of clear tape instead of glue.
If you cut out a single pattern, then it is advisable to draw with something sharp shallow grooves in the places of the edges of the pyramid before bending the pattern. This will create nice, even curves.
Step 6
Now go to Youtube on your smartphone or tablet, search for "hologram video for pyramid" and open the video you like. On top of the screen, place the pyramid with its top facing the screen. If you hold your smartphone at eye level and look at the pyramid, you will see amazing holograms.
