Step 1
The main thing that needs to be done at the initial stage of work is to thoroughly rinse the shoes, removing all dirt. It will be possible to start decorating only if the shoes are absolutely dry and clean. For reliability, it is better to lightly rub the surface with fine sandpaper. This procedure is especially recommended if the shoes are made of lacquered material.
Step 2
In a separate container, mix acrylic glue and gold glitter. Choose the proportions in accordance with the consistency of the resulting mass. The more glitter you add to the glue, the fewer layers you have to apply to your shoes and the more intense the sparkling effect will be.
Step 3
Using a brush, apply the gold mixture to the surface of the shoe material. This must be done very carefully so that there are no irregularities or streaks. If necessary, you can apply several layers of the prepared mass. To fix the shiny applique, you can use clear varnish or any varnish.
Step 4
Similarly, you can decorate individual sections of the shoe, for example, only heels. Gold elements will dramatically change the look of shoes, transforming ordinary shoes into an expensive exclusive model. Gold glitter can be combined with gold rhinestones if desired. However, it will take a little more time for such a design experiment.
