An old door leaf can be used to create original things that will make the interior of an apartment or house more extraordinary. Here are some simple ideas that won't take a lot of work.
Corner shelving
Corner shelving of this type will be very convenient in a narrow corridor or a tiny bedroom, which are so "famous" for domestic Khrushchevs or new buildings with the cheapest apartments.
Note! For such a craft, you will need a solid wood door leaf. Such doors were installed, for example, in Stalinist houses.
To make a corner rack out of the door, it is enough to carefully saw the door lengthwise. Shelves in the form of a quarter circle or a right-angled triangle can be made from a regular board, and fixed on metal corners. After assembly, paint the item any color you like. A good option is to cover the rack with clear varnish.
Screen
If you have changed doors throughout the apartment, do not throw them out, but make a screen. This piece of furniture is rarely used in modern interiors, but it is quite convenient if you need to cover some part of the room or just zone the room.
To make a screen out of doors, you will need at least three canvases. Connect them with door hinges to each other and paint the finished product or decorate otherwise.
Frame for home photo exhibition
A door with glass or a small frame from an old window can very easily be used as a large, large frame for photographs or paintings. Such a frame will give the interior the desired vintage, antique feel.
