Aloe is an unpretentious and useful plant that helps in the treatment of many diseases. To ensure that the stocks of this traditional medicine never run out, there should be several such succulents in the house. Aloe can be propagated in several simple ways.

The best breeding time for this succulent is spring and late July. This can be done in three ways: plant root shoots, root cuttings or tops. There is another option - the propagation of aloe by seeds, but it is rarely used, as it is too laborious.

If inexperienced gardeners do not know how to propagate aloe, then you can wait until the plant has children (root shoots). As soon as this happened, the succulent is taken out of the pot and the roots of an adult flower are separated from the children, then they are transplanted into separate containers.

An adult plant can be transplanted into a ready-made mixed substrate, and the children are placed in a sandy one and watered daily. It is important not to dry out so that young aloes do not die.

This method will allow not only to propagate aloe, but also to rejuvenate an adult plant. It is used if all the lower and lateral leaves of the succulent have been removed. First, cut off the top of the aloe with a sharp knife, place it in water and put it in a well-lit place. As it evaporates, liquid is poured into the container. After 20-30 days, the plant will develop roots. And when they grow 5-6 cm, aloe can be planted in the soil. This is one of the easiest ways to propagate aloe at home. To make the roots appear faster, the top cut can be soaked in phytohormone.

If the plant does not have young shoots, and the top cannot be cut off, another method is suitable - propagation of aloe leaf. A large and fleshy leaf is suitable for this. They cut it off with a sharp knife and wait for the cut point to dry out. To make this process faster, the stalk is removed to a dark place. Then the cut is treated with charcoal and placed in a moist substrate by 2-3 cm and watered daily so that the soil does not dry out.

Before propagating aloe with leaves or tops, you need to make sure that the plant is healthy and can withstand such interference. And it is better to plant young plants in a substrate consisting of peat, perlite, sand, wood ash and brick chips.
