There is less and less time left before the New Year holidays, so you can start preparing New Year's souvenirs with your own hands. Here are two ways to make an original little herringbone that will decorate any interior. Both methods are so simple that you can make such Christmas trees with children.
Herringbone cone-shaped buttons
For such a Christmas tree, you will need thin, but dense cardboard (not too hard so that it does not break at the slightest bending), glue, buttons, pins, beads or beads, other decor if desired and available.
- Roll a bag out of cardboard and glue it on the side. Trim the bottom of the cardboard bag to form a taper.
- On each pin (if they are without decorative heads) put on a bead or a small bead and pin the button on the cone with a pin. The buttons should cover the entire surface of the cardboard. If there are gaps somewhere, use beads on pins or the smallest buttons to mask them.
- Glue a large button with a bright pattern on top, a small Christmas tree toy in the shape of a star, a pompom, a fluffy bow will also do.
for the base, you can take not a cardboard cone, but a cone from a floristic base for bouquets, foam.
You do not need to pin each button on a pin, but glue them (see the top photo).
Herringbone flat button
For such a Christmas tree, you will also need cardboard (only hard), buttons, glue and a string for hanging.
- Cut the base of the Christmas tree out of cardboard (its silhouette can be both naturalistic and the simplest - a large triangle).
- Stick the buttons close to each other, trying to alternate them in color. Distribute the buttons so that they fit as tightly as possible, without gaps. If there are still gaps between the buttons, you can stick the smallest buttons or small beads on them.
- On the back of the Christmas tree, glue an eyelet from a cord or ribbon.
For the basis of such a homemade Christmas tree, you can take not cardboard, but thin plywood.
