To change the soundtrack for a film, you don't have to go to study to be a sound engineer. It is enough to have at hand the Sony Vegas program and the skills to work with this program.
Instructions
Step 1
Launch Sony Vegas and open the required file: click the File> Open menu item (or use the Ctrl + O hotkeys), select the movie and click Open. The file will appear on the so-called timeline (English time - "time", line - "line") - an area with a timeline at the bottom of the program. The number of layers that appear on the timeline depends on how many tracks the movie file contains. Nevertheless, there should be at least two tracks: with video and sound.
Step 2
All tracks of the file loaded into the program are grouped by default, i.e. are one. In other words, if you now try to delete the audio track, then delete the video track along with it. Therefore, it is necessary to separate them from each other.
Step 3
Select an audio track by clicking on it with the left mouse button. Now separate it. This can be done in two ways. First, right-click on it and select Group> Remove From from the drop-down menu. Second, and faster, just press U on your keyboard.
Step 4
Delete the track. This can also be done in several ways. First: click the main menu item Edit> Delete. Second, right-click on the track and select Delete. Third: press Delete on your keyboard. Alternatively, you can simply mute the audio track by clicking on the Mute button located on the left side of the track in the settings panel. If there are multiple audio tracks, do this with all of them. Now you should have only the video track on the timeline.
Step 5
Add the necessary music to the program in the same way as described in the first step. The music track will appear on the timeline. To sync the music track with the video, move it left and right with the mouse. The video sequence itself can be moved in the same way.
Step 6
To save the result, click the File> Render as menu item, in the Save as Type field, select the required format for the final video (if you click the Custom button, you can find additional settings for this format), specify the name, path and click Save.
