There are many small and free programs for transcoding video to audio files. One of the most convenient of them is the VirtualDub video editor, with which you can quickly and easily record music from a movie in mp3 format.

Instructions
Step 1
Open the required video file in the VirtualDub editor. To do this, from the "File" menu (located in the upper left corner of the program window) select the "Open video file …" command. In the dialog box that opens, select the file with which you will work in the editor (the one from which the music will be cut). To do this, double-click on the file name.
Step 2
Mark the beginning of the segment in the video file from which the music will be extracted. To do this, find the required fragment using the slider located at the bottom of the program. Open the "Edit" menu and select the "Set start selection" tab.
Step 3
Mark the end of the segment in the video file from which the music will be extracted. Use the slider to find the desired frame in the video file. Having determined the end of the fragment, in the "Edit" menu select the "Set end of selection" command. After this operation, in the lower part of the window (under the slider) you will see the fragment of the video file you have selected.
Step 4
Select the Stream Direct Copy tab from the Audio menu. This operation will prevent audio conversion while saving. In other words, the audio stream will be saved in the same format as the video file.
Step 5
Save the music from the movie. To do this, open the "File" menu, select the "Save WAV …" command. In the dialog that opens, select the save path, specify the name of the audio file. Then, click the "Save" button. It will take some time to save.
