Such an original hanging shelf will bring a touch of nautical style to the interior, make the room more original and more comfortable.
In order to make such a "multi-storey" shelf with your own hands, it is enough to buy a few planks and a piece of thick rope (in the photo there is almost a real sea rope, but it is absolutely not necessary to look for the exact same one). By the way, if you are going to throw out the old cabinet, take the shelves out of it and make this bookcase out of them. You will also need paint, a drill with a drill corresponding to the thickness of the rope, short sticks to fix the shelves.
Drill holes in the corners of each shelf. Then paint the shelves and wait for them to dry.
Now you can assemble the whatnot. To do this, cut the rope in half and pass the ends of the rope through the holes in the shelves to create the same construction as in the top photo. Tie the ends of the rope into knots. To prevent the shelves from sliding out, fix each of them with a short wooden stick (see photo below).
If your rope is not as thick as in the photo, you can tie it in a knot under each shelf to secure the shelves. In this case, you must try to make the nodes at the same level.
You can now hang the shelf on the wall and use it, but remember not to place very heavy items on it. Such a shelf is convenient for bath accessories or souvenirs, rather than as a stand for flowers and a large number of books.
