Perhaps every woman at least once wondered how to sew a hat on her own at home. So, it is not difficult to sew a hat, especially if you take knitwear as the main material.
It is necessary
- - knitted fabric of the required density (30 cm by 70 cm);
- - your favorite knitted hat that fits perfectly on your head;
- - scissors;
- - overlock;
- - threads of a suitable color;
- - decorative flower (you can make it yourself).
Instructions
Step 1
Fold the fabric in half with the right side inward, secure with pins, put your hat on it, straighten it properly, then circle it with chalk, retreating from the edge by about five to seven millimeters (seam allowances). Cut the resulting shape carefully.
Step 2
From the remaining fabric, cut a rectangle with a length equal to two widths of the cap and a width of about 12 centimeters (hereinafter it will be a lining-lapel).
Step 3
Carefully sweep the sides and top of the cap (the parts should lie right side up). Fold the rectangular piece in half face to face and overcast the side cut only.
Step 4
Now with the circular lining, fold it in half so that the wrong side is inside, then carefully place it inside the beanie with the fold forward and align the raw cuts of the lining and beanie, secure with pins and overlock with an overlock.
Step 5
Turn out the hat and fold the lapel, fix it with a blind stitch on the sides of the product where the seams go.
Step 6
The hat is ready, now you can decorate it with any decorative flower, attaching it to the side of the lapel of the product. You can make a flower from any material and decorate it with beads or beads.
