For the winter holidays, I want to please loved ones with gifts. Contrary to popular belief, not all men are indifferent to fashionable clothes, many of them will never wear a thing that they consider not fashionable or not suitable for their individual style. Knowing the exacting taste of a loved one, you can knit just such a hat that will be perceived favorably.

It is necessary

  • - 100 g of black yarn;
  • - 50 g of light gray yarn;
  • - 50 g of gray yarn;
  • - 5 stocking needles.

Instructions

Step 1

Use a 55% merino wool, 45% acrylic yarn for knitting for a practical and warm hat. This yarn is sold in skeins of 50 g, the length of the thread is 62 m. Before starting work, knit a sample: cast on 16 loops on the needles and knit 36 rows with the pattern described below. The resulting sample should be 10 cm in width and length (do not stretch the sample).

Step 2

Cast on the needles with black thread 60 loops, 15 loops on each of the four needles, knit 6 rows with an elastic band, alternately knit 2, purl 2. The first row can be double-stitched to reinforce the edge.

Step 3

Knit a 14 cm stripe in a circle, alternating stripes. First row: remove 1 loop as purl with yarn over, then knit purl one. Second row: knit 1 stitch together with the front yarn, then knit one purl.

Step 4

Alternate the stripes in the following order: 5 circular black rows, 6 circular gray rows, then black again, then light gray, black and gray. Then knit with black thread only.

Step 5

Begin to perform decreases after 14 cm from the edge: knit 2 loops together with the wrong one, knit 11 loops, then again 2 loops together with the wrong one, knit 2 loops together with the front one, again 11 loops, then 1 broach (remove 1 loop as the front one, knit 1 knit and pull it through the loop you removed). Repeat the entire sequence to the end of the row.

Step 6

Run 1 circular row without decreasing, in the next row: knit 2 loops together with the front one, then 9 loops, 1 broach, knit 2 loops together with the purl, then 9 loops, knit 2 loops together with the purl. Repeat the sequence one more time to the end of the row. Then repeat these decreases alternately in every second circular row until 12 loops remain, pull these loops onto a thread, carefully fasten the end of the thread by hemming to the bottom.
