The best way to create the atmosphere of the upcoming New Year holidays is to surround yourself with attributes that symbolize the imminent arrival of the New Year. This can be a Christmas tree, tinsel, garlands and, of course, snowflakes. Beautiful snowflakes can be made not only from paper, foil or napkins, but also from polymer clay.

It is necessary

  • - white polymer clay;
  • - cookie cutter in the shape of a snowflake;
  • - glue;
  • - silver-colored sparkles;
  • - rolling pin;
  • - a toothpick;
  • - baking paper;
  • - brush;
  • - a piece of woolen thread or ribbon;
  • - oven.

Instructions

Step 1

Soften the clay, place it between two sheets of parchment paper and roll the material into a thin layer using a rolling pin. The size of the layer should be such that the mold fits completely on it.

Step 2

Place the snowflake cookie cutter on the layer and press hard on it. Then we remove the form and remove the excess pieces of clay around the edges. In the same way, we make a few more snowflakes.

Step 3

If you do not have a metal mold in the form of a snowflake, then you can replace it with a regular template made of cardboard. Place the cardboard on the clay and cut out the snowflake along the contour with a clerical knife.

Step 4

In each snowflake we make a small hole through which we can then stretch a rope or woolen thread.

Step 5

We cover the baking sheet with special baking paper and lay out the blanks for future snowflakes. We bake the clay according to the instructions on the package.

Step 6

After the snowfields have cooled down, cover them with a thin layer of varnish or white glue and sprinkle with a small amount of silver sparkles.

Step 7

When the glue dries, we thread a woolen thread or a bright ribbon through the hole made.

Step 8

These polymer clay snowflakes can be used to decorate gift wrappers or hang them on a Christmas tree.
