You don't have to buy rugs in the store. They can be made independently, and from improvised means. I bring to your attention a rug made of twine.

It is necessary

  • - beige twine;
  • - jersey of different colors;
  • - scissors;
  • - glue gun;
  • - hot glue;
  • - soft construction mesh with large cells.

Instructions

Step 1

We take a knitted fabric and cut strips from it no more than 2 centimeters wide. Then we pull the obtained segments by the ends. Thus, the fabric curls and becomes neat.

Step 2

Next, we take the glue gun. With it, we will glue the end of the rope and the edges of the twisted piece of knitwear. Before you start making the rug, you need to trim the twine, that is, cut off the unwoven edges from it and cut the ends of the lashes.

Step 3

After a piece of knitwear is glued to the end of the rope, we begin to wind it around it in a spiral. There should be at least 3 centimeters between the parts of the winding. The length of the wrapped twine is 1 meter.

Step 4

The twine wrapped in jersey must be twisted. To keep the rope in this position, fix it with hot glue. Thus, we get a small circle decorated with cloth. We do the same for all the other elements of the carpet. You can play with their size, that is, create a product of an unusual shape.

Step 5

If you have made a sufficient number of elements, then you can start "collecting" the rug, that is, we glue all the circles together. To do this, apply hot glue where the twine circles meet.

Step 6

Now we glue a soft construction mesh to the rug. We just grease the product with glue and press it tightly to the base, that is, to the mesh.

Step 7

As soon as the net is in place with the rug, you need to trim the edges. We outline our product along the contour, as well as where there are gaps between the circles. Cut off the excess parts of the mesh with scissors. The twine mat is ready for use!
