A traditional gift for Valentine's Day to a loved one is a postcard or a figurine in the form of a heart. Despite the abundance of ready-made store souvenirs, hand-made crafts will bring incomparable joy. Try to make a Flying Heart valentine using the origami technique and write the most cherished words on a homemade card.
Valentine's card "Flying Heart": a master class with a photo
An excellent do-it-yourself valentine will turn out from a thick, red paper sheet on both sides. Cut it out in a square shape. The base for the paper heart is ready.
Carefully fold the square piece of paper in half, then unfold and fold again in the middle in the other direction.
Spread out the workpiece.
Fold the top of the sheet towards the center fold.
Flip the workpiece over to the other side.
Fold the upper right and left corners of the paper shape to the center vertical line.
Fold the right and left sides of the workpiece towards the middle fold.
Unfold the parts of the sheet bent to the side, then turn the paper figure over to the other side.
Lift the bottom of the workpiece up and fold back, folding straight to form a rectangle.
At the bottom of the resulting shape, outline small folds by folding the right and left parts of the workpiece in half.
Fold up the lower right and left corners.
Do the same with the corners near the center line.
Fold up the formed lower corners.
Bend the upper part of the workpiece to the bottom, in the direction of the previously marked fold line.
At the top rectangle, fold the bottom corners.
Pull lightly on the corners to straighten the workpiece.
You should have a figure that resembles a trapezoidal skirt with two "legs" at the bottom.
On the upper trapezoid, make neat accordion folds - these are the wings of your heart made of paper.
A paper valentine in the form of a flying heart can serve as an independent souvenir-postcard for Valentine's Day. In addition, the craft will be an excellent decorative element for a large gift, bouquet or the interior of a romantic evening.
