Now everything is on sale, and it will not be difficult to buy such a toy. But it's much more interesting to make a kite with your own hands. To do this, you need a sheet of paper or cloth, thin strips of wood - shingles, and threads to control the kite.

First, a triangle or a rhombus of irregular shape, elongated downward, is cut out of the selected material. Shingles are attached with small nails along the edges of the canvas, as well as in the center crosswise. You can go the other way and first make a wooden frame, and then pull paper or fabric over it. This must be done as tightly as possible so that the kite does not resist the wind and is obedient.

To increase the density of the paper, it is impregnated with water, as it dries, the degree of tension of the web increases. If you make a drawing on paper with watercolors, then additional impregnation is not needed - the watercolor is abundantly dissolved in water, and this moisture will be sufficient.

After making the main part of the kite, you need to tie strings to it to maintain the balance of the structure. To do this, cut off three threads from the skein and attach them so that they converge in the center, evenly and without distortions. At the point of convergence, the ends are fastened with a knot and at this point one long thread or even a coil is attached to fly the kite as high as possible.

The kite can be of any size and color. You can make it a swallow or cut it in the shape of a heart, you can decorate it with a tail with bows or butterflies, you can make an applique on it. It's a matter of taste. In any case, a do-it-yourself kite is always more elegant and interesting than those sold in stores.

You need to launch a kite where the airspace is not crossed by wires, where trees and roofs of houses do not interfere. The ideal place is the field.

At least two people should take part in the process - one runs in front, gradually unwinding the string, the other holds the snake and periodically throws it up. Thus, the air flow is caught. As soon as the kite rises, the twine must be unwound a great length to give the kite the freedom it needs.
