The use of crossed front and back loops allows you to significantly expand the number of knitted patterns. They can also be the main element. The fabric turns out to be slightly denser than when knitting with ordinary loops.
It is necessary
- - Knitting;
- - knitting needles by thread thickness.
Instructions
Step 1
For a sample, cast on an arbitrary number of loops. The fabric is rarely knitted only with purl crossed, usually this type of loop is used in combination with others. If you need a garter stitch option made with crossed loops, knit it with the front one. which are performed like this. Remove the edging. Insert the right knitting needle into the loop that is currently off the edge, from right to left. The working thread should be at work all the time. Grab it with your right knitting needle, pull it out to the front. Discard the loop of the previous row, as when knitting regular loops.
Step 2
When performing purl crossed, the working thread should always be in front of work. The crossed loop differs from the usual purl loop in that the right knitting needle is inserted into the loop from left to right. That is why this type of loops is also called "purl for the back wall". This name can be found in some old knitting publications. Insert the right knitting needle into the loop from left to right. The working thread is on the left spoke. Grab it and pull the loop to the right side. Discard the loop of the previous row.
Step 3
The crossed purl can be knitted in another way. Remove the hem, position the working thread in front of the left knitting needle. Insert the right knitting needle into the stitch from right to left in the same way as you would for regular purl stitches. Bring the working thread to the end of the right knitting needle and pull it to the right side, transferring it to the right knitting needle.
Step 4
Crossed loops are no more difficult to knit than regular ones. However, a little more time is spent on their implementation, and accordingly, the knitting process slows down somewhat. Therefore, when making a smooth canvas with crossed knits, only one type of loops is knitted. most often the facial ones are crossed, and the purl ones are normal. The pattern turns out to be dense, but it is done no slower than regular hosiery.
