Step 1
You can knit with knitting needles in several ways, including purl loops. To do this, you need to dial the required number of loops on both knitting needles, then pull out one knitting needle and start knitting directly.
Step 2
To knit the first row, start as follows: in your left hand, conveniently place the knitting needle with the loops dialed, in your right hand, pull the other working thread from the skein of thread as needed with the fingers of your left hand.
Step 3
With the right knitting needle, pull the thread through the dialed loop, leave the newly created loop on it, and discard the loop of the previous row remaining on the left knitting needle. In this way, knit or purl loops can be obtained - the result depends on the location of the thread. When knitting purl loops on the front side, they look like front loops.
Step 4
You can knit purl loops in two ways.
The first is knitting for the top lobe, the meaning of which is that the thread is always located in front of the work.
Step 5
Insert the right knitting needle into the loop with the left knitting needle towards you, grab the working thread in the direction of the arrow and pull the loop to the wrong side of the work.
Step 6
Leave the newly formed loop on the right knitting needle, and discard the remaining loop of the previous row on the left knitting needle.
Step 7
The second method is knitting for the bottom lobe, during which a crossed purl loop is obtained.
Step 8
To do this, insert the right knitting needle towards you with a movement from left to right into the loop on the left knitting needle, grab the thread in the direction of the arrow and pull the loop to the wrong side of the work.
Step 9
Leave the newly formed loop on the right knitting needle, and discard the loop of the previous row from the left knitting needle. This knitting method will give the fabric more elasticity.
