Drawing a person and a human body requires a certain amount of knowledge in the field of anatomy and portrait painting techniques - and very often novice artists have difficulty in drawing the hands.
Instructions
Step 1
To draw the palm of the hand, draw a 2–3 cm square, tapering slightly downward. When drawing a palm, be guided by the shape of your own palm, which you periodically consider in the drawing process.
Step 2
The length of the brush should be twice its width. Draw a second rectangle just above the first rectangle to get the correct proportion and outline the area that the fingers enter.
Step 3
Determine if you are drawing a right or left hand, and depending on this, sketch from nature your own right or left palm. Start drawing your fingers with your thumb. To the left or right of the bottom square, draw a small wedge, curving upward, slightly less than the palm of your hand. Draw the junction of the thumb with the palm, showing the correct angle of the junction.
Step 4
Now add the wrist - a strip narrower than the squares of the palm. The further the wrist is from the palm, the more it expands.
Step 5
In the center of the palm, focusing on your own hands, draw lines and folds. In the top square above the palm, draw four fingers - fit them into the square so that the longest middle finger touches the top of the square. The shortest finger is the little finger.
Step 6
Round the edges of the fingers, add lines at the folds and erase unnecessary auxiliary borders from the squares. Draw the thumb using curving curves, convex at the thickening of the toe and concave at the narrowing.
Step 7
After learning how to draw the hand from the palm side, try drawing the hand with the fingers pointing towards you. Refer to the previous image of the hand and your own brush.
Step 8
Draw the palm as a flattened, curved rectangle, on the left side of which, draw a rounded wedge for the thumb. In this position, the finger will not be directed outward, but inside the palm. Observe your hand and display the thickening of the palm below in the figure. Then start drawing your fingers.
Step 9
To simplify the task, think of each finger as consisting of three parts (phalanges). Each of the phalanges has its own contractions and extensions. The joints of the phalanges of the fingers (joints) thicken. Draw slightly bent fingers pointing towards you, and then draw bulging nails.
Step 10
By the same principle, a side view of the hand is drawn - display the palm in the form of a rectangle, modified in a different angle. When viewed from the side, the wedge of the thumb will point into the palm of the hand.
Step 11
The palm is always a slightly curved plane, and the thumb always extends from the palm at a slight angle and is shorter and thicker than the rest of the fingers.
