Instructions
Step 1
To get started, practice with simple lines. Take a small piece of paper. Draw a 10-centimeter square. And fill it neatly with continuous lines vertically, horizontally and diagonally. Gradually change the pressure on the pencil, creating smooth changes in tone. The lines should be clear, confident, with the same distance between them. This very first and simple exercise will teach you how to draw correct lines, which is very important when drawing and shading.
Step 2
Draw all your free time. Transfer to paper everything that you see around. Get yourself a small notebook and some pencils, let this set always be with you. You can capture a tree in a park or portray a person sitting in front of you in a transport. The main thing is that you draw as much as possible, train your hand and eye. The drawing does not have to be complete, let it be a sketch.
Step 3
Try to achieve clear lines of the drawing. Train on simple subjects. Try sketching a mug, vase, chair. Once you master drawing simple objects, move on to still life. Place several items of different textures. Or try to depict the folds of the drapery.
Step 4
Ask someone close to you to pose. There is no need to try to clearly draw the face or hands, to begin with, draw a clear drawing of the whole figure. Work out the volume, define the light and shadow. Try painting from multiple angles and in different lighting conditions.
Step 5
Copy drawings and paintings by famous artists as often as possible. Don't take complex compositions. At first, you can copy part of the drawing, but clearly work out all the details. Gradually move on to complex work. This will help you to correctly compose, depict objects and work in color.
