A flying flared semi-sun skirt is usually sewn from two main panels - back and front. Each of the parts is a quarter of a circle. A belt is sewn separately, then a regular or invisible zipper is sewn on the side or in the middle of the back. A beginner seamstress can simplify his task and build a skirt pattern from just one piece of fabric, with a single main connecting seam.

Instructions
Step 1
Take the necessary measurements to design a half-sun skirt. You should find out the half of the waist and the desired length of the garment. Keep in mind that the clothes should fit loosely around the waist - for this, you should leave an allowance of about 1 cm. For example, try to cut out a product with a half-waist circumference of 32 cm and a length of 64 cm.
Step 2
Now you need to calculate the radius of the notch for the waist line (this is the short, rounded top line of the main cut, to which the belt is sewn). This can be done according to the formula: 1/3 is multiplied by the half-girth of the waist (here: 32); 1 cm is added (allowance for freedom of fit). The resulting number is multiplied by 2; then another couple of centimeters are subtracted. Example: 1 / 3x (32 + 1) x2-2 = 20 cm will be the length of the radius of the groove.
Step 3
Take a piece of fabric of the correct size. The length of the canvas in this case should be equal to 64x2 = 128 cm, that is, two lengths of future clothes. You can find out the required width of the canvas if you add the radius of the notch for the waist (20 cm) to the length of the model (in this example, it is 64 cm) and add an additional 6 cm. You get 64 + 20 + 6 = 90 cm.
Step 4
Fold a piece of working blade at least 128 x 90 cm in half, wrong side up. The cut fold should be on the left. Draw the waistline on paper in advance, then attach the pattern to the top of the upper corner of the fabric and mark a sector with a radius of 20 cm. This is the top of the cut detail.
Step 5
On the top and bottom edges of the fabric, mark the length of the skirt and draw a rounded bottom. Now you have a quarter of the "sun" circle ready, and a semicircle ("half sun") on both sides of the folded working cut.
Step 6
Mark with a remnant or tailor's chalk with dotted lines the standard allowance for the back seam of 1.5 cm, and along the waist line - a hem of 2-2.5 cm. Carefully pin off the double cut with pins so that the cut lines of the main panel do not diverge under the scissors.
Step 7
Cut out the garment belt separately. Its length will be equal to the waistline plus 3-3.5 cm for a button-down closure. Width - 6 cm (3 cm from the front and back).
Step 8
If you managed to correctly cut the half-sun skirt, sew the back cuts of the panel, process the lower edge of the product and sew on the belt. Leave the upper part of the seam free - you will sew a hidden zipper into it.
