A huge assortment of all kinds of ribbons allows you to create bows of amazing beauty from them, and the more unusual the texture of the ribbon fabric, the more spectacular the finished bows look. The advantages of such jewelry are obvious: their originality and uniqueness, uncomplicated manufacturing technique, minimal investment of time and money.
Classic bow
To make an elegant and stylish bow in a classic style, you will need a narrow beautiful ribbon, about 20-25 cm long. The edges of the ribbon are treated with a lighter flame so that the threads do not creep and form a fringe. A bow is made by spreading the ribbon in full length on the table and pulling both ends to the center of the workpiece. The resulting two loops are crossed, laying one on top of the other and tied tightly in the center. The loops and their tails are aligned, trying to give the bow symmetry.
Two-tone bow
A two-tone bow is made from ribbons of contrasting colors and different widths. A wide tape is folded in half, pulling both ends to the center and fixing them with a small drop of glue. In the same way, a narrow tape is applied over a wide loop and its ends are glued to the center of the bow blank. Both loops are tied in the middle with a piece of narrow tape, the knot from the seamy side is sewn with two or three stitches. To decorate the hairstyle, you can sew an elastic band of the corresponding color to the bow or fasten it to an invisible hair clip.
Bow flower
A loop is folded from one end of a long tape 2-3 cm wide, leaving the other end free. Holding the upper loop with two fingers, the free end of the tape is laid in eights, trying to make both of its parts similar in size to the upper loop. In the center, the bow is sewn with several stitches or tied with a strong thread. After that, all the loops are straightened in a circle, giving the bow the appearance of a lush flower. The center of the bow for masking stitches and additional decoration can be decorated with rhinestones or a bright bead.
Bow "Dior"
A stylish and sophisticated bow is made from pieces of satin ribbon joined into rings of different diameters. The ends of the tape, closing the ring, are connected with glue, or sewing with small stitches using threads matched to the color of the tape. The finished loops are placed face up on the table, lightly crushed in the center and stacked on top of each other according to the principle of a child's pyramid: the largest ring is at the bottom, the smallest is at the top. A tape is passed through the upper loop and with its help the entire workpiece is tied. To securely fix the entire loop structure, you can sew with a needle and thread, and mask the seam with a tape tied in the center of the bow.
