The real name of the famous Yakut singer, performer of his own songs, Aiyy Uola, is Alexander Innokentyevich Samsonov. A favorite of northern youth, the mascot of the republican newspaper "Eder Saas", he lived a short but bright life. The bard's bright songs served as support to people in the difficult nineties. Unfortunately, Alexander died in the prime of his work from a rather rare disease.
Childhood
Little Sasha was born on Christmas night 1978 into a family of modest rural workers. Doctors in the hospital joked: "He screams how loudly, probably, the singer will be!" The joke turned out to be true, the boy's ability to music showed up very early. At the age of two, he surprised everyone by playing on the piano a song popular in those years, often heard on the radio.
In the kindergarten, the teachers noted that the child's development was good beyond his years. Sasha especially loved music and was a permanent soloist.
School years
At school, the boy was one of the best students. His classmates loved him and recognized him as a leader. Alexander won his first victory on the musical front at a local song festival, performing a folk song. Then he studied in the fourth grade, while studying at the music school in the accordion class. Soon the boy moved to the guitar class. Sasha had perfect pitch, he played many works without notes, flawlessly choosing the melody correctly.
In the seventh grade, Alexander has already created his own musical group "Northern Lights" ("Dukeebil"). He was very fond of writing poetry and songs. The group quickly gained popularity at school and often performed at school evenings.
Musical career
The artist's first serious performance took place at the city summer festival, Ysyakh, which is traditionally held in the Sakha Republic in honor of the aiyy heavenly deities and the revival of nature. After that, Alexander became popular, especially among young people. At the same time, on the advice of his mother Martha Samsonova, he took on the stage name Aiyy Uola. The mother wanted the spirits of Heaven to patronize her son and protect him from troubles.
Alexander quickly becomes famous. People willingly attended his concerts. Light, lyrical songs of Aiyy Uola helped people to survive those difficult years when there was confusion and vacillation in the country.
Soon the first album of Alexander was recorded in the House of Folk Art, it was called "Dedicate to you". The administration of the ulus became interested in the singer's talent, they helped to release the second album. The work was just beginning …
Sickness and death of the singer
Sasha felt the first symptoms of the disease in high school. Doctors made a terrible diagnosis of renal capillary toxicosis. Despite this, Alexander continued to work steadily. Sometimes I had to write and compose while lying in the hospital. Sasha entered the stage and gained popularity for the already terminally ill. Doctors left him no chance, refused treatment. Desperate mother rushed to the folk healers.
Performing on stage, Sasha sometimes struggled to overcome the pain. Pain relievers only worked for a short time. But the singer continued to fight. "It is better to die on stage than to end up in a hospital" - this is what Alexander said. At some time, his health improved and he was able to release albums of his songs and even enter a university.
But, alas, the delay was too short, and on October 12, 1998, Aiyy Wal was gone.
