Leather collar. This option is suitable for a jacket without a collar or if the old collar can be ripped off. Cut off 2 long strips of soft leather or leatherette. One strip should be slightly wider than the other. Each strip must be collected on a thread and pulled together. First, we sweep a strip that is wider just below the neckline. Then we mark the second one right along the edge of the neckline. We sew everything on a typewriter.
Step 2
Also, this collar can be supplemented with leather stripes on the sleeves. Sew on 2 stripes on each sleeve and decorate with pretty buttons or beads.
Step 3
Another option for "revitalizing" the jacket is to sew on the yoke at the front or back of a matching color lace. We just add lace, sew, and cut off the excess.
Step 4
If you happen to have beautiful leather or lacquered suspenders that were once fashionable, you can sew them to your jacket in front and use them as a belt.
