An optical illusion is an optical illusion. The creation of optical illusions has become quite a fascinating activity lately. You yourself can draw a simple illusion - two identical faces in profile create a drawing of a vase in the center of the sheet.

It is necessary

A sheet of paper, a simple pencil, an eraser, a ruler, paints

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the materials you need for the job. Using a ruler, divide the horizontal sheet of paper evenly in half. Draw a thin vertical line down the middle of the sheet with your pencil. Do not press hard on the pencil, as at the end of drawing this line you will erase with an eraser.

Step 2

Draw the profile of the person on the left side. Start drawing with light strokes from the forehead, gradually going down. For the convenience of drawing, you can outline any facial features. Only at the end of the work will you have to erase them. The profile may not convey the traits of a real person. You can make a profile of a fairy-tale character (for example, Baba Yaga, with her large nose and protruding chin). You can draw a slightly simplified profile - a stylized one. To do this, do not focus on the accuracy of the transfer of parts of the face.

Step 3

After creating a profile on one side - draw a mirror image exactly the same on the opposite side of the sheet. The middle vertical line will help you with this. Mark with a pencil or ruler the distance from the points of the first profile to the midline and lay them on the opposite side. Then on these points, all the time checking with the first profile, build the second profile.

Step 4

Another option for constructing the second profile is also possible. To do this, fold a piece of paper in half where the middle vertical line runs. Fold the sheet with the pattern facing out. Next, attach the folded sheet to the glass of the window and draw a pencil around the reflected first profile on the second half of the sheet. Then unfold the sheet and make the lines more precise, drawing them brighter. Use the eraser to remove the vertical line and any imperfections in the drawing.

Step 5

The optical illusion is almost complete. To complete it, shade with a pencil or paint over with dark paint (preferably gouache, although watercolor is also suitable) two drawn profiles. And if you look closely, you can see two images at once in one picture. These are two portraits in profile and a bizarre vase.
