Instructions
Step 1
Draw an oval in the middle of the leaf. This will be the girl's head. Then draw two short parallel lines down from the oval. Expand them a little and make a smooth transition between them. Then continue them down to outline Thumbelina's chest and back. Make a small bulge at the location of the chest. And in the place of the dorsal girdle, on the contrary, there is a depression, thus emphasizing the waist.
Step 2
Draw an arm in the middle of the torso. It should start in a semicircle and continue with two parallel lines. Make a bend at the location of the elbow joint.
Step 3
Draw a line with bumps on the face of the girl looking straight ahead. These will be the nose, lips and chin. In this position, Thumbelina will only see one eye. Place it just above the nose line. Draw it in the shape of a triangle, the sharp edge of which is directed towards the back of the girl's head.
Step 4
Draw the hair falling over the shoulders. To do this, draw several long, wavy lines. They should be joined together with sharp edges.
Step 5
Draw a few jagged lines under Thumbelina. Then, on one side, close them with an acute angle with the following lines. These will be the petals of the flower. In the middle of the flower, drop two small, parallel lines. You will get the stem of the plant.
Step 6
Mark the point of contact of the wings at the level of the chest, but from the back. They will be quite large. Draw a triangle with slightly curved sides. Draw one side wavy. It should be farthest from Thumbelina's back.
Step 7
Draw the lower wings in a similar way. Only the wavy line should be with a large step.
