Simple pencils are the best for depicting a modern city. It is with this material that it will be convenient to draw clear lines of gray asphalt roads and concrete buildings of the same shade.

It is necessary

  • - simple pencils;
  • - eraser.

Instructions

Step 1

Mark out the sheet to make it easier for you to draw the final outlines of the buildings. It is better to lay the sheet horizontally. Divide it in half with the center vertical axis.

Step 2

Divide this segment into five equal parts. One such area can be taken as a unit of measurement. Draw the two lower parts with a flat horizontal line - this is the horizon level at which the visible part of the road ends. From the central axis, retreat to the right and left a distance equal to a quarter of the segment taken as a unit of measurement - this is how you designate the width of the road at this level.

Step 3

From the bottom border of the sheet along the right and left edges, measure a distance equal to one unit. From the top point of the line segment to the right, draw a line to the right edge of the line segment at the level of the horizon. Draw the same line on the left. Thus, you have drawn the road. Draw two solid dividing lines in its center, converging at the top point. Then, draw some broken lines to the right and left of the center axis.

Step 4

Step down about a centimeter from the horizon line. From this point, set aside one and a half units to the right and left. Draw vertical lines up, tilting them slightly to the central axis (the angle of inclination should be the same). You now have the corners of the buildings in the foreground. Behind them, draw rectangles for the skyscrapers located further away. They should be tilted more towards the center.

Step 5

Draw several cars on the road and two lanterns on the sides of the freeway. Sidewalks can be drawn along the road.

Step 6

Shade the drawing with simple pencils of different softness. Start hatching with the darkest objects in the picture - trees along the sidewalk and car windows. They can be colored with a 4M pencil. Then fill the asphalt with color. Apply lines along the canvas, then add strokes at a 45-degree angle to the previous ones. Make the foreground asphalt tone more saturated than the background.

Step 7

With a TM pencil paint over the front wall of the building on the right. Then, with less pressure, shade the side walls of the nearest houses. Draw lighter windows. Arrange them in horizontal rows, reduce the distance between the rows of floors as you move towards the background.

Step 8

When all the objects in the picture are filled with color, you can work out each of them in more detail - draw small elements on cars, add shadows and reflections in the windows of houses.
