Pool is one of the most popular types of billiards. Its rules are interesting and simple. In addition, the pool uses relatively small balls and wide pockets, allowing even beginners to feel like champions and earn points with ease. The pool has several types of disciplines, one of which is the eight.

It is necessary

  • - a pool table;
  • - cue;
  • - billiard balls.

Instructions

Step 1

The game should be started by playing the right to perform the initial blow (breakdown). The winner can either break the balls himself or pass this opportunity to the opponent.

The game of "eight" billiards is played with a cue ball, which is used to hit other (aiming) balls. Target balls are numbered from one to fifteen, half of which are painted in different colors, the other half are striped. One player pockets balls 1 - 7, the second - 9 - 15. Having rolled all his numbers into the pockets, it is necessary to score an eight, after which the game ends.

Step 2

"Eight" refers to billiard games on demand. The order is made before a non-obvious hit by the opponent, announcing the number of the ball and the pocket into which it should be pocketed. Non-obvious strikes are made from the sides or represent a complex combination. If it is easy to predict the direction of the strike, it is considered obvious and does not need to be ordered. When ordering ricochets, as well as touching the balls of the boards and each other are not announced. When the ball is not pocketed correctly, it is left in the pocket regardless of group membership. The first blow cannot be ordered. Any object ball that is pocketed after the first hit gives the player the right to continue the streak. The number of hits is unlimited. The series is interrupted only after a miss or a ball belonging to the opponent's number group is pocketed.

Step 3

A correct kick off is considered to be the one as a result of which any object ball was pocketed (the player continues the series of kicks) or at least four balls were brought to the boards (the right to kick is transferred to another player). If these requirements are not met, then the opponent who entered the game can either accept the placement of the balls, or make the initial kick again independently or by giving the partner this right. By pocketing balls from his group, the player continues the series of strikes.
