The camera can easily be turned into a scanner. Of course, a home multifunctional device will produce better quality reshoots. But in some cases, using the scanner is not possible. For example, if you need to copy a large format. In addition, the camera shoots faster than the scanner works.
It is necessary
- camera,
- flash,
- tripod.
Instructions
Step 1
Place the photo on the floor or other horizontal surface in a well-lit room. Position the original so that you and the camera can hang directly over it to avoid distortion. This method works best for matte rather than glossy images. The illumination is preferably uniform. Take a position so that your shadow does not fall on the document being filmed.
Step 2
Set the white balance manually. This will allow you to more accurately reproduce the color gamut of the photo. And if you reshoot a whole series, it will save you from a lot of work on processing the received files.
Step 3
Use the zoom for optimal framing. This will also avoid additional processing of the copy of the photo. Press the "start" button and take several shots, changing the distance and angle.
Step 4
Take an external flash lamp to reshoot the glossy card. Aim the lamp at the ceiling and position the camera directly over the original. If you have two external lamps, you can direct their light onto the photo to be photographed from both sides at an acute angle. In this case, too, there will be no glare.
Step 5
Position your camera on a tripod at an acute angle to a glossy photo only if you have a built-in flash. After shooting, process the resulting file in any photo editor to eliminate the errors that have arisen. Correct perspective distortion, crop the image so that there is nothing extra on it, improve the sharpness and exposure settings.
Step 6
Try another method when taking small photos. It also requires good lighting. Select the "macro" function on the camera and take a picture from the closest possible distance. If there is insufficient lighting and the original to be copied is hanging on the wall, use a tripod and manual settings on the unit to take a good picture under these conditions.
