A bracelet with a name is an original and exclusive piece of jewelry, and a handmade one is doubly expensive. There are several ways to weave beaded bracelets with a name, the simplest ones are a cross stitch and a weaving method.
It is necessary
- - fishing line or waxed thread;
- - beads of two or more shades;
- - weaving pattern.
Instructions
Step 1
Make a weaving pattern for the future bracelet. To do this, draw a rectangle on a piece of paper in a cage, the number of cells in which should be equal to the number of beads in the bracelet. Use a contrasting felt-tip pen to paint over the letterforms.
Step 2
Calibrate the beads. Choose beads of the same size with a fairly large hole so that waxed thread or fishing line can freely pass through it. Divide it into different shades in different containers.
Step 3
One of the easiest ways to weave a bracelet is with a cross. Fold the waxed thread (fishing line) in half and string 4 beads onto it. Pass the other end of the thread into the outermost bead and tighten it into a ring. Then string 2 beads on the left end, and one bead of the main color on the right end.
Step 4
Pass the right end of the string through the second bead on the left and tighten. Weave in this way to the desired length. Next, weave according to the pattern, stringing beads of a contrasting color in the right place to form the letters of the name according to your pattern.
Step 5
To make a wider bracelet, string 3 beads on one strand, and pass the other end through the third bead. As a result, it turns out that both ends of the thread come out of the side bead of the first row.
Step 6
Then string 2 beads on the right side of the thread, and 1 on the left, pass the right end of the thread through it to the left, that is, as a result, the sides will change places. Then pull the thread through the beads on the side of the first row and tighten.
Step 7
String one bead on the right and left side of the thread. Pull the right end through the left bead and side bead of the first row, and tighten the thread. Continue to weave to the desired length in a similar fashion to the pattern, changing beads where necessary.
Step 8
To make a bracelet with a name by the weaving method, you first need to make a special machine. Decorations made with it will turn out neat and even, in addition, your work will speed up several times.
Step 9
To do this, you can use a cardboard box, on the edges of which you attach tailor's pins. Tie the warp threads to them, which should be one more than the number of beads in the ornament. Pull the warp threads not too tight, but not too lightly (the threads should not sag).
Step 10
Cut off the waxed thread (or fishing line). String the required number of beads on it, according to your pattern in rows. Secure the end of the beaded thread on the outermost warp thread on the loom on the left side.
Step 11
Weave a row, pulling the string with beads horizontally through one thread of the warp, first the needle is located above, then under the base, and so on. Straighten the row and make the next one in the opposite direction, that is, string the beads on a thread and pull through the warp threads, as described above.
Step 12
Weave in this way to the required length of the bracelet, fasten the last bead. Remove the warp threads from the pins on both sides of the machine. Fold all the strings together and tie in one knot. To make the strings, divide the threads into 3 equal parts and braid a regular braid on each side of the bracelet. Make another knot at the ends of the ties.
