It is necessary

scotch tape (paper), pencil, stationery knife, brush and acrylic paints, thick fabric

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare a stencil and attach it with tape to the thick fabric from which you will make the patch. With acrylic paint for fabric, apply the pattern through a stencil, dry it, cut out the chevron of the shape you need and sew on the product.

Step 2

To make a chevron in a hot way, prepare a reverse cliche using the "zinc-printing method", any brand of PVC-EP paste, dense fabric of the required dimensions. Put the paste in small jars and add paint to it. Fill in the cliche with the paste of the desired color, remove the excess. Put the cliché on the iron for 20 seconds, remove, let it cool, then with a needle remove the part of the drawing that should be of a different color, fill this area with a paste of a different color, and so on, fill in the cliché with the colors you need. The time for heating the paste is 20 seconds, during this period it acquires a rubbery state. With a black paste and cover the entire surface with a 1 mm thick cliché. Then press the cliche firmly against the cut out piece of fabric, heat with an iron.

Step 3

After the cliché has cooled down, carefully remove the piece of fabric. It should stick to the black paste, and the one with all the colors on the cliché. Thus, the black paste is transferred to the fabric, which is the background for the entire drawing. Cut off the rest of the fabric and the chevron is ready. The cold method differs from the hot one in that you need to use not an iron, but a catalyst.

Step 4

To fill a drawing with 5-6 colors of paste, first coat your entire drawing with a reserving compound. To add a colored paste, remove this catalyst and use a syringe to add the desired paint, and so fill all the clichés with the desired colors. Cold-made chevrons are much better in quality. Sew or hot glue the chevron to the garment. To prevent the sewing machine foot from slowing down, lubricate the chevron with oil.
