Without a handsome samovar, it is very difficult to imagine country gatherings at the beginning of the last century. Suffice it to recall the famous Custodian "Merchant's Wife at Tea". It is often found in illustrations for children's books. It is impossible to draw pictures for "The Fly-Tsokotukha" without once depicting a samovar, and after all, a picture theater based on this fairy tale should be in almost every kindergarten. In order not to have to cut pictures directly from the book, learn how to draw a samovar.

It is necessary

  • - pencil;
  • - paper;
  • - paints, crayons or pencils;
  • - a real samovar;
  • - a picture with a picture of a samovar.

Instructions

Step 1

Not everyone can learn to draw from life on the move. Therefore, consider a real samovar and a parallel picture. This is necessary in order to understand what parts the samovar consists of and how these parts relate to each other in shape, size and location relative to each other. Before drawing an illustration for a fairy tale or a still life, try drawing a samovar separately.

Step 2

Determine the location of the samovar on the sheet. If you are drawing it separately, then it is better to lay the sheet vertically. When drawing an illustration, it all depends on which group of characters you want to portray and how it will be positioned.

Step 3

The samovar is a symmetrical object. Therefore, you need to start drawing it by defining the axis of symmetry. Draw a vertical centerline. It can go through the entire sheet, or only through the place that you have identified for the samovar. Break the centerline into 4 equal pieces. In terms of height, the samovar can be divided into 3 main parts: a body, a stand with legs and a lid. For delivery and cover, take 1/4 of the top and bottom.

Step 4

Determine the ratio of the height to the widest part of the body. From the point separating the lid from the main part, set aside to the right and left segments approximately equal to half the width of the samovar. Determine the ratio of the widest and narrowest parts of the body. Through the point separating the body from the stand, draw a line parallel to the bottom edge of the sheet. On it, set aside on both sides segments equal to half the width of the body at its narrowest part. Connect the resulting points with the ends of the upper perpendicular with straight lines.

Step 5

Looking closely at the samovar, you will surely notice that the top and bottom lines of any round object do not seem straight, but curved. The lower the object is in relation to your eyes, the greater the radius of curvature of the arcs. Draw arcs along the top and bottom lines. The convex part of them "looks" down.

Step 6

Draw the stand. Step back a little from the edges of the body towards the centerline and draw 2 identical short, straight lines. Connect their ends together with an arc of the same curvature as the bottom line of the body. Along this arc, step back from the edges a little more and again draw 2 short parallel lines down. Connect their ends with an arc too.. Draw identical diverging lines downward. Their lower ends should be approximately at the same distance from the centerline as the ends of the bottom line of the body. Draw an arc between the ends of the diverging lines.

Step 7

Draw the lid. Parallel to the upper line of the body, draw 2 exactly the same arcs at the top and bottom at a short distance. From the ends of this line, draw an arc of lesser curvature. Its convex part is directed upwards. Along this arc from the centerline, set aside 2 segments to the right and left, approximately equal to the width of the stand. From these points draw 2 short vertical lines upward and connect their ends with an arc. The convex part of the arc is directed downward. From the ends of this arc upward, draw diverging lines of equal length to an arbitrary, but small height. Draw an oval between the ends of the lines.

Step 8

Place the necessary parts on the samovar body. The pens do not need to be drawn symmetrically. You can draw, for example, one handle as if the other were not visible. Divide the body of the samovar into 3 parts by height. Draw a handle, spaced 1/3 in height, a short distance from the edge. Draw a short vertical line, from its ends draw 2 converging lines pointing up. There should be a small distance between the ends of the lines. From these ends, draw parallel horizontal lines equal to the width of the handle. Draw the support of the handle farther away from you. Its lines will be parallel to the first pillar.

Step 9

Draw a crane. It is located about 1/3 of the body height, if you count from below. The faucet is located approximately at the same distance from the side line of the samovar as the handle - from the other side. The crane can be of different shapes. You can draw a straight line parallel to the bottom edge of the sheet and bend it slightly at the end. At the junction of the valve with the body, draw an oval, part of which is closed by the valve tube.
