Photos give the interior a special coziness and charm. And in order for them to fit into the given style, they need to be decorated. Beautiful and original photo frames are easy to make with your own hands. Stock up on materials at hand, spend a couple of evenings - and make your collection of family photos unique.

Step 1
Think over the design of future frames. If you plan to decorate a room with them, it is advisable that they are designed in the same style. Choose an idea that suits the nature of the shot. For example, photographs with scenes of a beach holiday can be decorated with shells, and a portrait of a beloved grandmother in her youth can be decorated “semi-antique.
Step 2
Pick up blanks for frames. They can be cut from plywood or cut from thick cardboard. But it is much easier to buy ready-made frames from unpainted wood - they are presented in a large assortment in handicraft stores and art shops. Cheap simple frames that are sold in photo shops are also suitable.
Step 3
Try making a frame in a trendy eco-style. Cover the wooden surface with a primer, dry and roller apply two coats of light acrylic paint - white, ivory, cream or bluish. Dry the finish and start decorating. Various shells, corals, glass pebbles are suitable for a nautical-style frame. Attach them with a glue gun. So that the work does not have to be redone, sketch out a sketch of the future frame on a sheet of paper in advance.
Step 4
The herbarium frame also looks very elegant. Use a glue gun to attach beautiful dried flowers, herbs, original feathers and light flat pebbles to the surface. The frame should be voluminous, but not oversaturated with decor.
Step 5
For a boudoir or bedroom, frames covered with fabric are suitable. Pick up beautiful pieces of velvet, taffeta, or thick silk. Cut the pattern to fit the frame, adding one centimeter to the hem. To make the finished product more voluminous, an additional layer of thin foam rubber, synthetic winterizer or felt can be laid between the wooden base and the fabric.
Step 6
Pull the fabric tight over the frame and attach it to the back with frequent beads of glue. Press down on the edges and wait until it dries completely. The finished textile frame can be additionally decorated with tassels or pom-poms located in the corners, or trimmed with braid, lace, shiny cord.
