- - colored chalk.
Instructions
Step 1
Choose a fabric for making upholstery covers. Most often tapestry, velor and flock are used for the manufacture of covers. These materials are inexpensive, moreover, they are varied in textures and colors. As for the colors, you can choose one of the universal colors - brown or gray, which are the least easily soiled. Of course, the color scheme of the interior should also be taken into account.
Step 2
Cover one of the pieces of furniture (armrest or backrest) evenly with muslin or other fabric for the pattern.
Step 3
Draw out all the folds with colored chalk.
Step 4
Sew or finely sweep the original pattern of the cover part.
Step 5
Try on the pattern again, correct the bad spots.
Step 6
Make patterns for all the pieces of furniture in the same way.
Step 7
Cut out muslin patterns and pin them to the upholstery fabric that will be used to sew the covers.
Step 8
Cut out the details of the cover from the upholstery fabric.
Step 9
Connect the cover parts together using strong threads. You can reinforce the seams with piping.
Step 10
Sew the zippers into the seams on the back of the back of the cover.
Step 11
Try on covers.
