When creating models of tanks or self-propelled robots, you need tracks that not only make the work realistic, but will actually work. Such tracks consist of separate tracks, and if you have enough perseverance, you can make a track yourself.

- - glue "epoxylin";
- - petroleum jelly or solid oil;

Instructions
Step 1
Design or find the shape of a single track. If you are making a realistic tank model, develop a complex shape, with 4 or 5 link mounts. But the simpler model is easier to work with and more reliable in field trials. In any case, the shape of the track must obey the following principles: each part must freely fit into the other and be symmetrical about the center of the track.
Step 2
Prepare a track layout. Cut it out of wood, several layers of paper glued together, foam, cork, or other easy-to-work material. It is best to make two parts in order to be able to "try on" them to each other.
Step 3
If the tracks are one-sided, proceed as follows: take the sculpted clay, roll it out on a flat surface and cut into strips 1 cm wider than the track. Press the model some distance apart several times. Place the molds in the refrigerator to freeze and harden. Take a two-component cold seal or epoxylin, mix a small amount. Lubricate the molds with petroleum jelly or baby powder (just miss with a brush) and fill with cold welding, level the surface with a drain. Take out the finished tracks after 2-3 hours.
Step 4
To get double-sided tracks, make a double-sided mold. To do this, take epoxylin glue, knead and let stand for 10-15 minutes. Then lubricate the track model with Vaseline or grease and press it halfway into the mass. Let the structure harden (an hour or two) and again lubricate with petroleum jelly or grease, this time together with the mold. Replace the glue again and apply to the second part of the track shape. After the glue is dry, remove the model - you've got a double-sided track mold. You can mold the tracks with the same glue, but remember to use dry lubricant - baby talcum powder or powder.
