Percussion is the oldest family of musical instruments. Rhythmic accompaniment, previously melodic, has become an integral attribute of religious rites, military dances, weddings and other events in human life. Having a variety of forms (tambourine, xylophone, castanets, maracas, bass drum …), all these instruments are combined into one group according to the principle of sound production - by blow. The blow can be applied with a hand, a special stick, two halves of the instrument, and so on. In musical groups, as a rule, there is a set of percussion instruments of a standard type (for example, a drum kit), but if desired, musicians can make their own percussion instruments that give an authentic and original sound.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare several plastic containers, preferably egg-shaped and in two halves (like a kinder surprise). The size is at your discretion, but the optimal height is 10-20 cm. Wash the containers.
Step 2
Separate the halves. Pour peas, beans, beads, and other small items into the upper halves. It is better that objects of the same diameter are in the same half - at the end of the work, they will all have a different sound.
Step 3
Make holes in the middle of the lower halves, insert straight sticks, wooden or plastic, into them. The diameter of the sticks should be such that it is comfortable to hold. Cover the hole so that there are no gaps. Otherwise, the handle will fall out, and behind it the beans with beads.
Step 4
Connect the halves, shake. You've made maracas.
