If you decide that a Snow Maiden should be at your home or corporate event, make her costume yourself. It is very easy to sew it. The basis of the costume is a fur coat and a hat (or a sundress and a kokoshnik). Usually the outfit is kept in blue or blue tones. You can sew a fur coat from faux satin with faux fur trim. The sundress is sewn according to the same pattern, finished with a silver cord, white lace and braid.
Step 2
You can also dress up your daughter's favorite doll in the Snow Maiden costume - the girl will certainly appreciate the festive outfit. Make a pattern for a fur coat and a hat on thick paper. Cut out details from artificial silk or taffeta, sew them. An outfit for a doll can be richly finished by embroidering with a shiny cord, sequins and glass beads. Put the dressed up doll in the nursery or place it under the tree, next to Santa Claus and gifts.
Step 3
Snow Maidens can also become an original souvenir for friends. They can be sewn using the “attic toy” technique. Cut out two identical bell-shaped pieces. Choose the size arbitrarily. Sew the parts, leaving a small hole. Fill the toy with padding polyester or cotton wool, carefully sew up the hole. Use fabric paints to paint the Snow Maiden's face. Attach a kokoshnik cut out of cardboard and painted with silver paint on the head. Decorate the figurine with beads, fur, sequins, rhinestones, white feathers - whatever your fantasy tells you. You can sew a ribbon to the top of the toy and hang it on the Christmas tree.
Step 4
If you own a crochet hook, you can knit a souvenir. Tie a small wooden ball with white yarn - this is the head of the future Snow Maiden. Cut out a wide ribbon from a patch of blue satin, sew along one edge with a narrow strip of faux fur or a wide silver braid. Gather the tape on the other side and sew to the ball. Tie the handles separately in the form of narrow tubes, sew them on at both ends and attach to the junction of the skirt and head. Draw the face of the Snow Maiden. From cream, brown or yellow thick yarn, make a wig - cut the strands to the desired length and sew them to the middle of the head. Braid the loose ends into a braid. Put a hat on your head made from the same blue ribbon.
